A rebate can be machined around the edge of a wooden window to accommodate Aqua seals. Fitting an Aqua seal will eliminate most if not all draughts and save money in the long run on energy costs. The seals can protrude up to 8mm from the edge of the window so any gaps are filled. These should not be confused with the stick on foam tape which compresses over a short period of time making them almost completely ineffective.
I have also fitted Aqua seals to front and back doors with the same effect. They also reduce outside noise from penetrating the home.
